Configuracion del idioma

    dpkg-reconfigure locales 

Formato de hora, moneda, etc. Los locales recomendables son:

• en_US.iso9885-1
• en _US.UTF8
• es_ES
• es_ES@Euro
• es_NI

de los cuales el último puede ser seleccionado como locale por omisión (defecto).

Reconfigura la distribución del teclado en ambiente texto

    dpkg-reconfigure console-data

UBUNTU:

For instance, if you want to add support for the Spanish (es) language, you should install (with Synaptic, apt-get or whatever method you prefer) the packages language-pack-es, language-pack-es-base and language-support-es. Substitute -es for the abbreviation of the language of your choice. Then, log out and back in and you should be able to enjoy Ubuntu in the language you want again.
