To enable the handler uncomment the following section in the file /etc/apache2/apache2.conf:

    SetHandler server-status
    Order deny,allow
    Deny from all
    Allow from 127.0.0.1

You will only need to ensure that you have the mod_info module loaded which you can do by running

a2enmod info
